Inspiration to take part in the D of E Challenge? I attended the Gold Awards in May and heard people talking about it - it's about doing something you usually wouldn't and pushing your comfort zone boundaries. Between the 23rd Sept and 22nd October I have a trio of crazy things going on that will push me totally out of my comfort zone... On 23rd September I will be completing the Camelot Challenge, a half marathon through the hills of Somerset and Dorset. On 29th September, I am jumping out of a perfectly working aircraft in Salisbury from 15,000ft! And throughout October, I will be completing the 271 mile Trafalgar Way (the route taken by Lieutenant Lapenotière from HMS Pickle, taking news of victory at Trafalgar and of Nelson's death) from Pendennis Point, Falmouth to the Admiralty in London, finishing on 22nd October in time for the national Sea Cadets Trafalgar Day Parade. I think all three of these will be pushing me out of all possible comfort zones and they're definitely a challenge!
